Assemblies

Our carefully planned assembly cycle, based principally on our WOW values, plays a key role in ensuring children develop strong moral, personal and spiritual values of their own. The whole school community from Reception upwards attend Monday assemblies, allowing us to promote very clear messages to all. Children are also provided with the opportunity to view the attendance and punctuality of each class and the entire school as a whole on charts shown in every Monday assembly. A target linked to the assembly theme is set for all children to aspire to, and a ‘Star of the Week’ is chosen from each class in every Friday’s Celebration Assembly. The Stars are invited to a special lunch, given a special cushion to sit on and are treated like a VIP for the whole of the following week.
