Is your child starting school in September 2019?

If your child was born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 you will need to apply for a school place between 29th October 2018 and 15th January 2019.

The quickest and easiest way to apply for a school place is online.
Visit: www.surreycc.gov.uk/admissions to access the online application form and more information on the application process.

You can start your online application at any time from 29 October 2018 but you must have completed it by 15 January 2019.

The following admissions criteria will be used by the LA to allocate places if a school is oversubscribed.

  • First priority: Looked after and previously looked after children
  • Second priority: Exceptional social/medical need
  • Third priority: Children who will have a sibling at the school
  • Fourth priority: Children for whom the school is the nearest to their home address
  • Fifth priority: Any other children

Waiting lists: Where there are more applicants than places available, waiting lists will operate for each year group according to oversubscription criteria for each school without regard to the date the application was received or when a child's name was added to the waiting list.
